Pobo Efekoro, MPP

Pobo Efekoro has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. Starting in 2012, Efekoro worked as a Fall Fellow for Obama for America, where they directed a team in East Brooklyn and conducted voter outreach. From 2014 to 2015, Efekoro was a Track and Field Athlete for the University of Connecticut before becoming a Chess Player for the United States Chess Federation until 2014. In 2011, Efekoro worked as a Chess Coach for the Sports and Arts in Schools Foundation, chauffeuring students to chess tournaments in New York City. From 2018 to 2019, Efekoro was a Summer Business Development Analyst at MAXIMUS. They then transitioned to Maximus, where they held roles as a Senior Business Development Analyst and Business Development Analyst. In 2021, Efekoro joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) as an Associate Account Executive, focusing on Small and Medium-Sized Businesses. They later became an Account Manager for East Coast Startups, followed by a role as an Account Manager for Silicon Valley Startups. Most recently, Efekoro joined Loka in 2023 as an Account Manager.

Pobo Efekoro, MPP, obtained a Masters Degree in Public Policy (MPP) from the University of Virginia Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2018, Efekoro completed a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Affairs at the University of Virginia. Additionally, from 2014 to 2015, Efekoro studied Economics and Political Science at the University of Connecticut. Earlier on, from 2010 to 2014, Efekoro attended Forest Hills High School, focusing on Politics and Constitutional Law.

In terms of additional certifications, Efekoro obtained the following:

- AWS Technical Proficiency from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in July 2021.

- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March 2021.
