Sean Flynn

Dean of the School of the Built Environment at London Metropolitan University

Sean is an experienced project manager, member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB), Member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). He has joined London Met as Founding Head of the School of the Built Environment.

His previous roles at the University of Westminster include Knowledge Exchange Lead in the Business School and Assistant Head of the School of Applied Management. Sean is an experienced leader and manager in the higher education, construction, and engineering industries and has worked on several high-profile renewable and infrastructure projects in the UK and abroad.

Sean is passionate about vocational education and practical learning across the whole of the built environment. He has active interests in areas including contemporary project management methodologies, sustainable built environments, and Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA).

His teaching covers a wide range of subjects including project management, project planning, advanced construction technology and modelling building operational energy demand. As a member of the accreditation panel for the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), Sean visits HE institutions across the UK and abroad.
