Paul Baird

Paul Baird is an experienced technology professional currently serving as the Director of Network Solutions, Design & Engineering at LSEG since June 2025. Prior to this role, Paul held the position of Head of Infrastructure, Comms and Estates IT at Schroders from February 2016 to June 2025. Paul’s extensive background includes significant roles at BNP Paribas, where responsibilities included managing network operations and design both in the UK and globally within Corporate and Investment Banking, and serving as a Senior Architect for trading floors and data centers. Earlier experience includes leadership in network design at Marks and Spencer and consultancy roles at F&C Asset Management. Paul holds a PgDip in Geoinformation Technology from the University of Glasgow and a BSc in Civil Engineering from Glasgow Caledonian University.
