Donald Quintin

President, Opportunity Funds at Lone Star

Mr. Quintin is the President responsible for directing origination activities of the Opportunity Funds in Europe, North America, and Latin America as well as the Residential Mortgage Funds in North America. Mr. Quintin is a member of Lone Star’s Global Risk and Market Risk Committees and is a member of certain portfolio company boards in Europe that are investments of certain Funds.

Mr. Quintin has over 26 years of experience in the financial markets, comprising both corporate and real estate investing and portfolio management. Since joining Lone Star in 2010, Mr. Quintin has served in multiple leadership positions, most recently as President, Europe, with oversight of all origination activities across the region. Prior to joining Lone Star, Mr. Quintin was a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch. During his time there, he managed the distressed structured debt trading business, the mortgage sales and trading business, and oversaw various legacy portfolios. He also managed the Merrill Lynch Bank investment portfolio and the secured corporate lending and total return swap portfolio. Mr. Quintin started his career at Bankers Trust as a derivatives analyst before moving to Salomon Brothers, where he served in various banking, trading and management capacities within the mortgage and corporate credit divisions. Mr. Quintin holds a B.A. degree from St. Lawrence University.
