Shveta Sundar

Shveta Sundar is a Mechanical Engineering student at The University of Texas at Austin, with a projected graduation date of May 2026, and is also pursuing a certificate in Computer Science. Currently, Shveta serves as an intern in the Artemis Main Propulsion Systems/Ground Flight Systems Test Applications at Jacobs and works as a Recovery Avionics Hardware Engineer at the Texas Rocket Engineering Lab, focusing on designing and testing avionic hardware in extreme conditions. Additionally, Shveta holds leadership roles in multiple organizations, including Advancement Chair for the UT Austin Society of Women Engineers, where sustainability initiatives are emphasized, and as a Propulsion Systems Engine Hardware Engineer with the Longhorn Rocketry Association. Shveta actively engages in outreach for the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition and participates as a competitor in various competitions, showcasing a strong commitment to STEM and community involvement.
