Hamish Hobbs is currently a Member of the OECD.AI Network of Experts on AI (ONE AI) since July 2023 and a Consultant on Emerging Global Risk Policy at the OECD since January 2022, focusing on AI policy and international regulatory cooperation. Hobbs also serves as a Senior Policy Advisor to the OECD on global risks since November 2021, contributing policy advice on managing emerging global risks. Previous roles include International Policy Adviser at the Office for Artificial Intelligence in the UK, Research Scholar at the Future of Humanity Institute at Oxford University, and Adviser at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet in Australia. Hobbs holds a Research Scholar degree from the University of Oxford, along with degrees in Political Science, International Relations, and Geography from The University of Western Australia.
