Erin O'Brien Gilbert, Ph.D., currently serves as Associate Director of Business Development at Lonza within the Cell and Gene Technology Business Unit, where responsibilities include leading analytical activities for several clients in viral vector and cell therapy projects. With a strong background in process development and quality control, Erin has successfully managed tech transfers and the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) solutions across multiple sites. Prior to Lonza, Erin held the position of Lead Project Scientist at RedVault Biosciences, managing grant submissions and developing commercialization strategies. Erin earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from Rice University, where research focused on synthetic biology and involved significant contributions to engineering bacterial plasmids. Erin also holds dual bachelor's degrees in Biochemistry and Genetics from Texas A&M University.
