Hans Michiels

Hans Michiels is an experienced procurement professional with a strong background in indirect and direct procurement, currently serving as Indirect Procurement Director at Lonza since April 2018, overseeing global category management in Technology and Professional Services. Previously, Hans held roles at Capsugel as Strategic Sourcing Manager, where responsibilities included driving sourcing strategy for indirect categories, and at Atlas Copco Airpower, where key roles included Project Buyer and Strategic Commodity Buyer, focusing on direct procurement and strategic purchasing projects. Hans holds a Master's degree in Business Engineering with a major in European & International Business and a Bachelor's degree in Business Engineering from the University of Antwerp, as well as additional education from Yerevan State University and Onze–Lieve-Vrouw van Lourdescollege Edegem.
