Head Of Relationship Management at Loomis Sayles

James Sia has a diverse work experience in the asset management industry. James is currently the Head of Relationship Management at Loomis, Sayles & Company since September 2017. Prior to that, they held the position of Director, Sub-Advisory and Defined Contribution at Standard Life Investments from October 2016 to September 2017.

In 2016, James founded their own consulting firm called BCK Consulting, where they provided expertise in asset management excellence, specifically in investment-led product development, business development, client service delivery models, reporting, and risk analysis. James'sclients included a mid-West small/mid-cap equity boutique, for which they reviewed and recommended external facing team structures.

From 2011 to 2016, James worked at GMO as the Specialty Team Leader, Sub-Advisory and Defined Contribution. In this role, they established the direction and executed the business strategy for GMO's sub-advisory and defined contribution initiatives. James also led a team of four and engaged in strategic review, relationship management with key clients, and oversight of other relationships.

Starting in 2001, James served as the Director, Defined Contribution and Associate at Wellington Management. There, they led a team of seven and focused on growing the DCIO asset within the DC segment. James successfully helped clients meet their investment goals while growing a stable asset base with fair effective fees. James also spoke at various industry conferences.

Before joining Wellington Management, James worked as the Field Vice President at Charles Schwab from 1998 to 2001. James held the position of Vice President at CS First Boston from 1994 to 1998 and at Fidelity Investments from 1989 to 1994.

James Sia completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Investments, and Economics from Babson College from 1981 to 1985. James then pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Marketing from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University from 1990 to 1993.
