Guus Liqui Lung

Senior Electrical Engineering at Loop Robots

Guus Liqui Lung has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Guus began their career as a Technician at Delft University of Technology in 1979, working in the section of Concrete Structures. From 1988 to 2002, they participated in the realization of the Delft Intelligent Assembly Cell, designing and building part of the Transputer control system. Guus then transitioned to the Faculty of Mechanical, Maritime Engineering, where they worked as a Research Engineer until 2007. During this time, they also worked at the Faculty of Applied Physics in the section of Quantitative Imaging. In 2008, Guus became a Research Engineer at the Faculty 3Me, Section Bio Mechanical Engineering -DBL, where they were responsible for the electronics in research robots and worked on a distributed control system.

In 2010, Guus began their political career as a member of the "Commissie Samenleving" of the City Council of Zoetermeer, representing the CDA. In 2012, they became a full member of the City Council and served until 2018.

In 2016, Guus joined Robot Care Systems as a Senior Electronic Design Engineer, contributing to the development of new generation Care Robots for the elderly. Guus played a significant role in designing LEA, a project initiated by the EU project SILVER.

In 2019, Guus joined Jonker Makis Robotics as a Senior Electronics Engineer, where they worked until 2021.

Most recently, Guus joined Loop Robots in 2021 as a Senior Electrical Engineering professional.

Guus Liqui Lung pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, completing their education from 1979 to 1984.
