Brandon Fannin has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Brandon began their career as a Sensors Directorate Intern at Wright Patterson Air Force in 2011. In 2012, they worked as a Software Development Intern at IBM, where they successfully built a Java web app and created utilities to simulate message traffic and store data. Brandon then interned at Marathon Petroleum Corporation as a Corporate Admin & IT Applications Intern. In 2014, they served as a Software Development Intern at Methode Electronics. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Line Cook at Northstar Cafe. In 2016, they became a Farm Apprentice at Methodist Theological School in Ohio. Brandon later joined Whole Foods Market as a Grocery Team Member from 2017 to 2019. In 2020, they transitioned into the tech industry, working as an Academic Fellow at Tech Elevator and then as a Software Engineer at Root Inc. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Loop, starting in 2022.

Brandon Fannin attended Tech Elevator in 2020 for a Coding Bootcamp focused on Java programming. Prior to that, they studied at Ohio Wesleyan University from 2017 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Creative Writing. In 2011 to 2012, they briefly attended The Ohio State University with a field of study in Engineering Physics but did not earn a degree. Additionally, Brandon obtained two certifications in July 2021: "Agile Software Development: Remote Teams" and "Project Management Foundations" from LinkedIn.
