Brooke A. Fapohunda

Partner, Head of Human Capital Management at Lord Abbett

Brooke Fapohunda serves as the Head of Human Capital Management at Lord Abbett. She advises the business on all aspects of its investment in people and culture. In this role, she is responsible for leading the firm’s efforts in the areas of talent acquisition, employee experience, diversity and inclusion, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and organizational change. In addition, Ms. Fapohunda serves on the Lord Abbett Steering Committee, which provides strategic direction and decides on the priorities of the organization. She also serves on the firm’s Leader Development Committee.

Ms. Fapohunda joined Lord Abbett in 2006 and was named Partner in 2017. Prior to her current role, she served as Deputy General Counsel managing the group within Lord Abbett’s Legal Department that provides day to day support to the Lord Abbett Family of Funds. In this role, she collaborated with senior personnel throughout the firm on product development, registration, and operations; regulatory and governance matters; and negotiation and oversight of service provider arrangements. Her previous experience includes serving as Vice President and Counsel in the asset management division of Credit Suisse and Associate at law firms Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP and K&L Gates LLP. She has worked in the financial services industry since 2002.

Ms. Fapohunda earned an AB from Princeton University and a JD from Columbia University.
