Veronica Chiu's work experience begins in 2007 at Extreme Pita, where they started as a Pita Pro and eventually became a Shift Supervisor. Their responsibilities included food preparation, customer service, cashiering, dishwashing, cleaning, and overseeing other employees. From 2009 to 2010, they worked at Loblaw Companies Limited as a Cashier/Guest Services/Cash Office associate. Afterwards, they joined Lord Elgin Hotel in 2010 as a Reservations/Switchboard Operator, Front Desk Agent, and later as a Health and Safety Coordinator. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a Guest Services Manager at Residence Inn by Marriott Kingston Water's Edge. Veronica then moved to the Holiday Inn & Suites Ottawa Kanata as a Guest Services Manager from 2018 to 2019. Currently, since 2019, they serve as the Director of Room Operations at the Lord Elgin Hotel.

Veronica Chiu obtained a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Ontario Secondary School Diploma with a French Immersion Certificate from Uxbridge Secondary School, from 2004 to 2008. Additionally, Veronica has obtained various certifications, including Standard First Aid CPR Level A from the Canadian Red Cross in December 2022, a Food Handler Certificate from the Canadian Institute of Food Safety in October 2020, an Ontario G Drivers License from the Ontario Public Service in 2011, and a Smart Serve certification from Smart Serve Ontario.
