Dr. Chinnock graduated from Johns Hopkins University before pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University. She graduated with a concentration in Forensic Psychology and worked with various forensic and medical populations as part of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams.
She has provided services at various jails and detention centers (individual and group), two Level 1 Trauma Centers and primary care and specialty care clinics. In addition, she has training in Critical Incident Stress Management at the individual and group levels. She was trained in assessment and therapy of individuals who are survivors of intimate partner violence by Dr. Lenore E. Walker and worked with Dr. Vincent B. Van Hasselt on research and trainings related to intimate partner violence, crisis negotiations, and behavioral health with first responder populations.
Dr. Chinnock is passionate about working with patients across the lifespan to offer support for those struggling with mood difficulty, intimate partner violence, anger management, interpersonal communication, and health behavior change. With a strong foundation in Cognitive-Behavioral Theory (CBT), she integrates evidence-based practices to foster resiliency in patients by collaboratively identifying patient strengths and goals for treatment.
