About this role:

Lorica Cybersecurity is actively seeking a skilled and innovative UI/UX Designer with a proven track record of designing user-friendly interfaces for React single-page applications (SPAs). The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in crafting customer-centric designs, understanding and fulfilling business requirements, assimilating user feedback, and turning creative concepts into visually appealing, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.

Responsibilities:

  • Keeping pace with industry trends and integrating the latest UI/UX technologies.

  • Developing superior UI design solutions via wireframes, visual/graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.

  • Collaborating with product managers and engineers to understand and evaluate user requirements.

  • Designing UI elements and tools, such as navigation menus, search boxes, tabs, and widgets for our digital assets.

  • Testing UI elements like CTAs, banners, page layouts, page designs, page flows, and target links for landing pages.

  • Partnering with the development team to ensure the creation and delivery of customized experiences with pixel-perfect execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or other relevant fields, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a UI/UX Designer role or a similar capacity.

  • Experience with popular front-end libraries, such as Angular2, React, etc.

  • Ability to visualize and prototype proposed solutions at various fidelity levels, including high-level prototypes, conceptual presentations, and production-quality code.

  • Exceptional visual design skills with a user-system interaction focus.

  • Familiarity with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.

  • Excellent verbal and visual communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas into understandable and achievable concepts.

  • Experience working in a user-centric development environment where designs are created, iterated, and developed within a highly collaborative and cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Outstanding portfolio showcasing excellent visual and problem-solving skills.

  • Current knowledge of user-centered design best practices.

  • Strong experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including HTML5, CSS3, and emerging HTML APIs.

  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools, such as Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Adobe XD, Framer or React.

  • Experience with vector and motion graphics, including SVG, HTML5, Canvas, and Animation via JavaScript and CSS.

  • Familiarity with 3D or Autodesk products.

  • Experience with agile software design and development methodologies.
