Corey Calaycay

Corey Calaycay has a diverse work experience, starting in 2003 as a Field Representative to Assemblymember Bob Pacheco in the California State Assembly. Corey then served as District Director to Assemblymember Todd Spitzer until July 2005. Afterward, they became a Senior District Representative to State Senator Bob Margett in the California State Senate until November 2008. Simultaneously, in 2005, Corey Calaycay began their role as a Councilmember for the City of Claremont, which they continue to hold. In 2015, they became a Board Member, District 21, for the Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County, and served in this role until December 2019. Additionally, they served as a Chairman of the Library Commission for the County Of Los Angeles Public Library starting in January 2015. In May 2015, Corey Calaycay became the Chair, Executive Board for Foothill Transit. In December 2017, they also joined the Clean Power Alliance as a Member of the Board of Directors. In January 2018, they took on the position of Immediate Past President, Board Of Trustees for the San Gabriel Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District. In December 2018, they became the Vice Chair of the POMONA VALLEY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY. Lastly, starting in September 2003, Corey Calaycay worked as an Advance Sales, Promotions, and Events Manager for Fairplex.
