Paul Gottwig is an accomplished aviation professional with extensive experience in helicopter operations. Currently serving as a Senior Pilot at the Los Angeles County Fire Department since March 2015, Paul is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of B412 and S70 helicopters during day, night, and NVG missions, including EMS, SAR, and fire-fighting operations. Prior to this role, Paul held the position of Helicopter Captain at General Electric from July 2006 to March 2015, where responsibilities included the safe transport of executives under various flight conditions, alongside leadership roles as IFR Committee Chairman and Board member for the Eastern Region Helicopter Council. Paul’s career began in the U.S. Army, where from September 1986 to September 2006, Paul served as a helicopter pilot, gaining experience in diverse missions and leadership positions across multiple aircraft types. Paul's educational background includes a Master of Business Administration in Project Management from Capella University and a B.A. in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
