Twila Bratcher Endowed Chair In Malacological Research at LOS ANGELES COUNTY MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY FOUNDATION

Jann Vendetti holds the position of Twila Bratcher Endowed Chair in Malacological Research at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County since August 2014, managing the NHM Malacology collection with a focus on gastropod studies. Concurrently, Jann has served as an Adjunct Professor at Glendale Community College since February 2013, instructing various biology courses. Prior experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher and part-time faculty at California State University, Los Angeles, and part-time faculty at Cal Poly Pomona. Jann was a FIRST IV Postdoctoral Fellow with the National Science Foundation, and served as a Rubenstein Fellow at the Smithsonian Institution. Academic work at UC Berkeley involved teaching and research during graduate studies, with a PhD in Integrative Biology and Paleontology awarded in 2009. Earlier roles included teaching English in Taiwan and working as a science writer.
