Erik Vargas

Erik Vargas currently serves as the Community Relations Coordinator for SPA8 at the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, a position held since September 2022. Previous experience includes roles as Youth Achievement Manager and College and Career Coordinator at The Unity Council, where Erik successfully oversaw programming across multiple school sites and initiated Individual Academic Plans for over 175 students. Additional positions include College and Career Coordinator at Alternatives in Action, College Advisor with Destination College Advising Corps, and College Advisor at Castlemont High School with East Bay Consortium, focusing on student support through college applications and financial aid processes. Erik holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley.
