Kristen Franco

Associate Director, Project Management Office at LOS ANGELES HOMELESS SERVICES AUTHORITY

Kristen Franco has a diverse work experience spanning different organizations and roles. Kristen started their career as an intern at the United States Senate in 2008 and then worked as an intern at the City of Los Angeles in 2009. In 2012, they joined the Milken Family Foundation as a Program Manager and worked there until 2014. From 2014 to 2018, they served as a Senior Project Manager at The Urban Institute. Currently, they are working at the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority as the Associate Director of the Project Management Office, a role they have held since December 2018.

Kristen Franco earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science, Public Affairs, and Spanish from UCLA in the years 2005-2009. Later, they pursued a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree from The George Washington University during the period 2014-2016. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in December 2020. Kristen also has certifications in Women in Leadership from Coro Southern California and Lean Bronze Certification from Simpler Consulting, an IBM Company, both obtained in 2022.
