Blake Bolden

AHL Scout, Growth & Inclusion Specialist at Los Angeles Kings

Blake Bolden is currently a AHL Scout and Growth & Inclusion Specialist for the Los Angeles Kings. Prior to this, they were a professional athlete in the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL) for six seasons. Blake was drafted into the CWHL in the first round, and was the first black female professional ice hockey player. Blake won the Isobel Cup Championship in their first season, and was a three-time All Star and hardest slapshot winner. In their final season, they were named Defensive Player of the Year.

Bolden has always been passionate about giving back to their community. In September 2016, they founded Blake Bolden Athletics, a nonprofit that provides free fitness and wellness programming to underprivileged youth in Boston. Blake also worked as a Student Services Manager at InnerCity Weightlifting (ICW), a nonprofit that uses the sport of weightlifting to engage inner-city youth and keep them off the streets.

Blake Bolden graduated from Boston College with a degree in Psychology & Human Development.

They are on a team with Matjaz Kopitar - European Scout UFA, David Torrie - NHL Scout, and Jason Supryka - NHL Scout. Their manager is Rob Laird, Senior NHL Scout.
