Carlos Singer

Director, Government & Community Engagement at Los Angeles Philharmonic

Carlos Singer is the current Director of Government & Community Engagement at the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Prior to this, they were a partner at Huang Ybarra Singer & May LLP from August 2014 to August 2017, and at Willenken LLP from July 2008 to June 2014. Carlos also served as Legal Counsel to the Mayor of the City of Los Angeles from September 2017 to February 2021, and as Deputy Counsel to the Mayor from June 2007 to July 2008.

Singer has extensive experience in a broad range of trials and appeals in federal and state courts. Their areas of practice have included complex contract disputes, business torts, media and entertainment, trademarks, copyrights, patents, and product liability. Carlos is also a co-founder of trial and appeals firm Huang Ybarra Singer & May LLP, which has been recognized by the Daily Journal as one of California's "Top Boutiques."

Singer earned their J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2003. Carlos is a member of the State Bar of California and the American Bar Association.
