Senior Vice President, Global Communications at Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board

Chris Heywood has a diverse work experience in the tourism and convention industry. Chris is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Global Communications at the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board, where they lead various PR and communications efforts. Prior to this, they held the position of Executive Vice President of Global Communications at New York City Tourism + Conventions, where they managed a global team and oversaw communications for the official destination marketing organization of New York City. Chris also has experience at the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board, where they started as a Senior Assistant and was subsequently promoted to Manager of Corporate Communications. In this role, they handled community relations, media relations, stakeholder engagement, and managed the organization's celebrity tourism marketing campaign.

Chris Heywood earned an Associate of Science degree in Culinary Arts from The Culinary Institute of America in 1995. From 1995 to 1996, they attended Florida International University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management.
