Jamie Hebert

Jamie Hebert has a strong background in education and mathematics, with experience in various roles and positions. They started their career as a Mathematics Teacher at Ovey Comeaux High School in 2002, before moving to Lafayette High School in 2003 where they worked as a Mathematics Teacher for nine years. In 2012, Jamie became an Assistant Principal at Lafayette High School, a role they held until 2016. From 2016 to 2020, they worked as a K12 Mathematics/Science Specialist at the Lafayette Parish School Board. Currently, Jamie is employed by the Louisiana Department of Education, where they have held the positions of Math Specialist (2020-2023) and Director of Math (since 2023).

Jamie Hebert pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, starting in 1997 and completing it in 2002. Then, Jamie went on to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Graduate School from 2008 to 2010, where they earned a Master of Education degree with a focus in Educational Leadership.
