Rebecca Otte is an experienced professional in environmental management, currently serving as the Louisiana Statewide Brownfield Coordinator at the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality since December 2018. In this role, Rebecca manages the Brownfield Redevelopment Program, addressing environmental challenges at vacant and abandoned properties to promote their redevelopment, while also supporting EPA Brownfield Grantees across the state. Prior to this, Rebecca worked at the Regional Planning Commission from January 2004 to December 2018 as the Brownfield Redevelopment Program and Clean Fuel Partnership Coordinator, overseeing daily operations to assist developers and property owners with environmental issues. Earlier in their career, Rebecca was an Environmental Engineer at Miller Brooks Environmental from 1999 to 2003, where responsibilities included performing and managing environmental site assessments and remediation efforts. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of New Orleans and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Valparaiso University.
