Rebecca Escoto

Rebecca Escoto is a legal professional with extensive experience in various roles within the Louisiana Department of Justice, including serving as an Assistant Attorney General from December 2019 to March 2025 and again from March 2025 to the present. Prior to this, Rebecca worked as an Associate Attorney at Daigle Fisse and Kessenich, PLC from September 2023 to March 2025. Rebecca began a legal career as a Law Clerk in the Special Litigation Division at the Louisiana Department of Justice, along with prior experience as a Litigation Paralegal. Early professional experience includes a Summer Law Clerk position at the St. Martin Parish Clerk of Court and a File Clerk role at the law office of Thomas R. Hightower Jr. Rebecca holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Southern University Law Center, a Bachelor's degree in Political Science with a focus on Pre-law from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and an Associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from South Louisiana Community College.
