William Summers is a highly experienced engineer and project manager with a focus on marine engineering and operations. Currently serving as the Engineer for the Ferry System at the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development since February 2022, William has previously held significant roles such as Senior Project Manager and Senior Marine Engineer at Elliott Bay Design Group from 2014 to 2020, and Vice President of Operations at both E.N. Bisso & Son (2001-2014) and ENSCO Marine (1996-2001). Earlier in their career, William was the Area Manager and Senior Marine Engineer at Tidewater Marine from 1986 to 1996. William holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and an MBA in Finance from Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School of Business.
