Derek Bland serves as Vice President of Business Development at HJI Supply Chain Solutions since October 2000, and has been a Board Member of the Advanced Manufacturing & Logistics Network since January 2012. Additionally, Derek holds the position of Advisory Board Member for the University of Louisville Logistics & Distribution (LODI) since January 2008, and is a member of the Executive Board for the Louisville Sports Commission since July 2011. Prior to current roles, Derek worked as Superintendent at Ford Motor Company from January 1992 to October 2000. Derek earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering/Industrial Management from the Missouri University of Science and Technology between 1984 and 1989.

The Louisville Sports Commission’s mission is to create a legacy of economic and social vitality through sports. The LSC annually helps attract, support, and host an average of 75 sports events that generate more than $50 million in economic benefits.
