Michelle Thomas is an experienced animal care professional currently serving as a Senior Animal Care Technician at Indianapolis Animal Care since December 2018. In addition, Michelle has been part of the Conservation Crew at Louisville Zoo since June 2018, engaging with guests about the animals. Prior to these roles, Michelle worked as a teacher at Pepe Barron Academy and volunteered at Tucson Wildlife Center and Liberty Wildlife Rehabilitation Foundation, Inc., where care was provided for injured wild birds. Michelle holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Resources Management and Policy from the University of Arizona, earned between 2010 and 2014.
