Dustin Ballinger

Dustin Ballinger is an experienced professional in nursing and healthcare education with significant roles at Lourdes University as an Adjunct Faculty member since January 2022 and at The University of Toledo, where various positions have been held since August 2011, including Clinical Recruiter Specialist, Director of Nursing, Operations Supervisor, and Staff Development Specialist. In the role of Director of Nursing, Dustin Ballinger managed daily operations of the CVU/MICU, overseeing a team of over 100 employees and handling incident reporting and investigations as Site Manager. As Operations Supervisor, responsibilities included developing the LVAD program and maintaining clinical competency for patient care. Additionally, as Staff Development Specialist, Dustin Ballinger played a key role in teaching new hire orientation, implementing simulation training, and contributing to the Heart Failure Council during LVAD accreditation. Academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Nursing Education and degrees in Registered Nursing and Biology from The University of Toledo.
