Bret Turner is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in writing, education, and music. Currently serving as Senior Lead Writer at Lovevery since September 2019, Bret focuses on creating content related to early childhood development, including articles, children's books, and curriculum guides. As a children's musician since January 2018 with The Tallest Kid In The Room, Bret writes and performs songs designed for young audiences. Prior to these roles, Bret worked as a freelance writer, producing content on educational, parenting, and social justice topics from January 2010 to September 2019, and served as a First Grade Teacher at Head-Royce School from August 2011 to August 2019, where curriculum design and instruction for early learners was central. Bret's earlier career includes music production and management, as demonstrated in roles with East Bay Pictures International and Intrax Cultural Exchange. Academically, Bret holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of the Pacific, a Clear Credential in Elementary Education from UC San Diego Extended Studies, and a BA in Linguistics and Russian from Pomona College.
