Merriden Varrall is a Partner at KPMG Australia, leading the Geopolitics offering. Prior to this, Merriden worked at the Lowy Institute as a Director for the East Asia Program. Merriden has a Ph.D. in Political Anthropology on Chinese Foreign Policy and holds a Master's degree in International Relations. Merriden has a strong background in policy analysis and advisory roles, with experience in various sectors such as academia, international organizations, and government departments.
