Arjun Balar

Arjun Balar has extensive experience in the field of medicine and clinical development. Arjun is currently a Board Member at Volastra Therapeutics starting in 2023. Prior to this, they held various leadership roles at Loxo Oncology at Lilly, including Senior Vice President of Global Clinical Development and Vice President of Global Clinical Development. Arjun also served as an Associate Professor of Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine from 2018 to present. In addition, they were the Director of Clinical Trials Office at NYU Langone Health from 2020 to 2021. Earlier in their career, Arjun worked as the Director of the Genitourinary Medical Oncology Program at Perlmutter Cancer Center at NYU Langone, focusing on developing novel therapies for prostate, kidney, and bladder cancers. Arjun has also held positions as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center and as a Medical Oncology Fellow at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Arjun completed their residency in Internal Medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital.

Arjun Balar obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Florida from 1998 to 2002. Following this, they pursued a degree in Medicine at the University of South Florida College of Medicine from 2002 to 2006, earning an MD.
