John Lajiness

John Lajiness has a diverse work history, starting with their current position as Associate Director of Scientific Systems at Loxo Oncology at Lilly since 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Manager of Scientific Systems at the same company from 2022 to 2023. From 2021 to 2022, they were a Senior Associate Manager of Scientific Systems, responsible for scientific data management and portfolio of scientific software.

Before joining Loxo Oncology at Lilly, John worked at Eli Lilly and Company from 2014 to 2021. John'sroles included Associate Consultant in Research IT, where they led a major data and technology integration project with Loxo Oncology. John also worked as a Senior Associate in Research IT, responsible for managing a custom-developed software for data integration and analysis.

John's earlier experiences include working as a Japanese/English Interpreter in a self-employed capacity, as well as a 3rd Grade Teacher at Guion Creek Elementary School. John also served as a Program Coordinator at the Japan-America Society of Indiana and an Assistant Language Teacher at the Akita Prefecture Board of Education.

John Lajiness holds a Master's Degree in Data Science from Indiana University Bloomington, which they obtained from 2015 to 2020. Prior to that, they completed a Health Information Management and Exchange Graduate Certificate in Health Informatics at Indiana University Indianapolis from 2012 to 2013. John also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Language Arts Composite (Elementary Education) from Hope College, earned from 2000 to 2004.
