Entry Level Lighting Designer

LPA is seeking a passionate Entry-Level Lighting Designer to join our integrated team of Architects, Engineers, Interior Designers, Landscape Architects, and Master Planners. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with team members across studios on projects that are both local and across California and Texas. What you will do:

• The Designer will assist lighting designers, architects, engineers and project managers in the execution of specific assignments
• Prepare lighting design calculations and documentation for schematic design, design development and construction documents
• Select equipment, systems, and products related to projects
• Review and process construction administration documents

Entry-Level Lighting Designer Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in lighting design, interior design or related field
• 0-2 years of experience in the design of building lighting systems
• Enthusiastic commitment to the multidisciplinary design process and team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Curious and open minded to learn and assume increased responsibilities
• Committed to building a long-term professional career

Entry-Level Lighting Designer Preferred Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and good knowledge of industry software
