Joel Vengrin

Joel Vengrin is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in financial regulation and enforcement. Currently serving as Assistant General Counsel at LPL Financial since June 2025, Joel previously held the position of Senior Enforcement Counsel and Compliance Counsel at the CFP Board from June 2020 to June 2025. Prior experience includes a tenure as Senior Counsel in the Department of Enforcement at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) from July 2011 to June 2020 and as Senior Counsel in Enforcement at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from March 2009 to July 2011. Joel began a legal career in the New York County District Attorney's Office, serving as an Assistant District Attorney from 1998 to 2009. Joel holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Virginia.
