Thorarinn Olafsson

Thorarinn Olafsson has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Thorarinn began their career as an IT Support specialist at TM Software. Thorarinn then worked as a Network Administrator at TAL before becoming a Systems Administrator at Baugur. Thorarinn later joined Lina.Net as an IPT & Application Specialist. In 2003, Thorarinn joined Nyherji as a Project Manager and IPT & Application Specialist, where they were responsible for the installation and deployment of IP Telephony systems. Thorarinn then served as the IT Manager at Hekla hf, overseeing day-to-day operations and strategic planning. In 2011, they took on the role of Project Manager and Head of Procurement at Vodafone Iceland, and later became the Product Manager and Specialist - Corporate Market at Siminn. In 2015, Thorarinn joined Sensa ehf as a Product Manager, and currently, they are working as an IT Director at LS Retail.

Thorarinn Olafsson has a diverse education history. Thorarinn obtained an MBA degree in Performance Management and Portfolio Management from Reykjavik University between 2009 and 2011. Prior to that, they completed a B.Sc. in Computer Science / Business from the same university from 2001 to 2003. Additionally, they earned an A.S. degree in Computer Science from Tölvuháskóli Verslunarskóla Íslands from 1991 to 1994. Along with their formal education, they also obtained an ITIL Foundation certification from Loyalist Certification Services in the year 2012.
