Andy Huang

Research Assistant at Lucent Bio

Andy Huang has held multiple roles in various companies since 2015. In 2015, they were a Tour Guide & Gift Shop Clerk at the Glace Bay Heritage Museum. In 2016, they were an Assistant Laboratory Technician at Dalhousie University, where they assisted the senior lab technician in setting up and cleaning up second-year and third-year university biology labs. Andy also handled live marine specimens in an appropriate manner. In 2017, they were a Project Coordinator and Research Assistant at Dalhousie University, where they trained incoming trainees of the Leung Lab in basic life science laboratory skills, monitored students' progress, and coordinated research schedules between multiple students. Andy was also a MASc Graduate Researcher, Biology Learning Assistant, and President of the Dalhousie Biomedical Engineering Society. In 2020, they worked as a Patient Attendant at Carecor Health Services Ltd., where they worked 12-hour shifts in various hospital units within the Halifax Regional Municipality. Andy is currently a Research Assistant at Lucent Bio, beginning in 2022.

Andy Huang has a Master of Applied Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Dalhousie University which they obtained in 2021. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor's degree (Honours) in Biology, General from Dalhousie University in 2017. Andy also holds certifications from adMare BioInnovations, The 2nd Lab, Coursera, Udemy, Abcam, and McGill University.
