Harper L.

Harper L. has four years of work experience in the financial and business consulting sector. In 2021, Harper began working as a Financial Analyst at Lucent BioSciences Inc. and as a Business Consultant and MBA Honorarium Recipient at Creative Destruction Lab. In 2020, Harper was a CDL-West Summer Intern at Creative Destruction Lab and a Research Assistant of Stanford Venture Capital Initiative at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. At Creative Destruction Lab, Harper worked with four ventures from Climate, Prime and Health streams and built a valuation model, prepared loan request package, pitch deck, conducted market analysis, and made recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and founder needs. At Stanford University Graduate School of Business, Harper reviewed term sheets of more than 600 startups founded after 1994 to assemble a massive database designed to carve out the relationship between founders and VCs and built data sets including liquidation preference, type of shares offered, pro rata rights, options pool, founder vesting, and anti-dilution provisions to track values of existing companies that had been backed by venture capital.

Harper L. is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration - MBA in Finance, General at The University of British Columbia, beginning in 2019. Prior to this, Harper has completed a semester exchange at the University of Oxford, focusing on Climate Change Policy and Economy. Harper holds two Masters degrees from Indiana University Bloomington, an MS in Environmental Science - Energy and an MPA in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law. Harper has also obtained certifications in Intermediate Python from DataCamp in November 2019, and a Diplôme d'études en langue française - B2 from the Centre international d'études pédagogiques (CIEP) in August 2015.
