Senior Project Manager & Sustainability Advisor at Lucent Bio

Timo Makinen currently serves as a Sustainability Advisor at Lucent BioSciences Inc., focusing on climate-positive, regenerative agriculture technology. Additionally, Timo is a part-time lecturer at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, teaching principles of sustainability with an emphasis on industrial ecology and the circular economy. Previously, Timo held the role of Director of Operations for NISP® Canada, successfully piloting the National Industrial Symbiosis Program in Canada. Timo’s extensive consulting experience includes expertise in energy and environment linkages, sustainable development, and GHG management. Earlier positions include roles at Shell International, where Timo was a Sustainable Development Manager and Climate Change Advisor, as well as Director of Business Development at BC Research Inc. Timo's academic credentials encompass advanced degrees in energy resource management, energy policy, and chemical engineering from esteemed institutions.
