Tim Espey

Tim Espey has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Tim recently joined Lucerna Health in 2023 as a Principal Software Engineer. Prior to that, they worked at Amazon from 2020 to 2023 as a Senior Software Engineer. Tim also had a stint at Cisco as a Senior Technical Leader from 2019 to 2020. Tim has extensive experience at Amazon, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer from 2017 to 2019. Before that, they worked at inContact as a Principal Software Engineer from 2016 to 2017. Tim's career began at GE Healthcare, where they served as a Lead Software Engineer from 2004 to 2006. Tim then joined Ingenix as a Technical Lead, and later moved on to Fusion-io as an Architect, managing software development for client-server systems. Tim also had a role as a Vice President in Technology at Goldman Sachs, where they acted as a technical architect for a Java-based reporting infrastructure team. Beginning their career at GE Healthcare, Tim showcased their skills in developing and debugging C++ and Java software. Tim also has expertise in designing and implementing software solutions, including peer-to-peer network libraries, EDI frameworks, and CORBA wrapper libraries. Throughout their career, Tim has consistently demonstrated their ability to address performance and scalability issues in software products.

Tim Espey graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Tim also obtained several certifications from Coursera Course Certificates, including "Big Data Analysis with Scala and Spark" in May 2017, "Parallel programming" in September 2016, "Functional Program Design in Scala" in July 2016, and "Functional Programming Principles in Scala" in June 2016.
