Marlou Banning

Marlou Banning has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and organizations. In 2012, Banning held the position of Divisiedirecteur Finance en ICT at De Nederlandsche Bank as well as the role of Directeur at Settlement Bank of The Netherlands. Banning went on to serve as the Voorzitter RvC at NV Het Havengebouw from 2009 to 2016. In 2011, Banning became the Voorzitter Parochiebestuur at De Vredeskerk and later took on the role of Voorzitter Stichting Vrienden van de AMS at Amsterdamse Montessorischool from 2013 to 2019. In 2016, Banning held the position of Chief Financial Officer at LVNL and served as a Lid raad van commissarisen at CANSO from 2016 to 2023. Banning also held roles within Keukenhof, including Lid beleggingscommissie Stichting Graaf Carel van Lynden and Voorzitter audit committee of the Bestuur Stichting Graaf Carel van Lynden. Furthermore, Banning had involvement with the World Press Photo Foundation, serving as Voorzitter Financiele Commissie and later as Voorzitter ai Raad van Toezicht. In 2023, Banning took on the role of Penningmeester Nederlands Lucht- en Ruimtevaart Fonds at NLF.

Marlou Banning has a diverse education history. In 1974, they attended Sint Janslyceum, followed by Laurenscollege from 1978 to 1980. Later on, they pursued Organisational Psychology at Utrecht University from 1980 to 1987, where they received their degree. In 1982 to 1983, Marlou Banning studied Business Law, Organisational Psychology, and Metaphysics at the University of Michigan. Marlou then enrolled at Utrecht University again from 1983 to 1988, focusing on Nederlands recht, leading to the acquisition of another degree. In 2005, Marlou Banning attended IMD for Strategic Management. Marlou also completed the New Board Program at Nyenrode Business University from 2009 to 2011. Most recently, they have been pursuing a Qualified Legal Mediator certification at the Academy of Legal Mediation and Negotiations, set to be completed in 2023.
