Luigi Abete

Luigi Abete was President of Banca Nazionale del Lavoro SpA from 1998 to 2021, and currently serves as President of the BNL Foundation. He is Chair of Civita Cultura Holding Srl and Chief Executive Officer of IEN – the Italian Entertainment Network.

He was Chair of the Confindustria Young Entrepreneurs and the Lazio Federation of Industrialists. He was President of Confindustria from 1992 to 1996.

From 1993 to 2001, he was President of Luiss Guido Carli University, then led the Unione degli Industriali e delle Imprese di Roma (UIR) and ASSONIME SpA (Associazione fra le Società Italiane per Azioni e di Emittenti Titoli).

He is President of FeBAF (the Italian Federation of Banks, Insurance and Finance), and Board Member of Artigiancassa SpA and of Tod’s SpA.

From 2009 to April 2022, he was President of Luiss Business School and since May 2022, he serves as President of Luiss Business School SpA.
