Mark Y. Wahba

Mark Y. Wahba has extensive work experience in the field of emergency medicine. Mark Y. started their career as an Emergency Physician at Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region from 2005 to 2007. Mark Y. then worked as an Emergency Physician and later as a Physician Executive at Saskatchewan Health Authority from 2008 to 2019. During this time, they were responsible for developing and executing strategies, managing a budget of $1.2 billion, and overseeing approximately 7500 FTE positions. In 2017, they served as an Emergency Department Consultant at Whanganui District Health Board. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Island Health - Vancouver Island Health Authority. In 2019, they also took on the role of Chief Medical Officer at Lumeca Health. Currently, they are employed as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Saskatoon. In addition to their regular work, Mark Y. Wahba also served as a Transport Physician at STARS Air Ambulance from 2012 onwards.

Mark Y. Wahba began their education journey in 1992 at the University of Saskatchewan, where they pursued a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in the field of Medicine. Mark Y. completed their studies in 2000. In 2003, they attended the University of Calgary, where they obtained a CCFP (EM) degree with a specialization in Emergency Medicine, which they completed in 2004. In 2000, Mark Y. Wahba attended the University of Alberta, where they received a CCFP degree in the field of Family Medicine, completing their studies in 2002. Additionally, from 2009 to 2010, they attended the Saskatchewan Health Quality Council and studied as a Quality Improvement Consultant, although no degree is specified during this period.
