Dirk Vanderhaeghen

Dirk Vanderhaeghen has a strong background in strategic marketing and market strategy in the lighting industry. Dirk started their career at INTEC as a system engineer from 1992 to 1994. Dirk then worked at Philips Lighting from 1995 to 2009, holding roles such as predevelopment engineer and group leader product development engineer. At Philips Lighting, they also served as the business line manager for LED applications and the marketing manager for UHP lamp systems. Vanderhaeghen joined Lumileds in 2009 and held various senior director positions in strategic marketing and market strategy for OEMs until 2015.

Dirk Vanderhaeghen completed their Masters in Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Ghent University between 1986 and 1992. Later, they pursued various short-term courses in different business and marketing fields. These include Strategic Marketing at London Business School in 2008, Corporate Entrepreneurship at Nyenrode Business University in 2007, Business Management, Strategy, and Marketing as part of the Philips Octogon Program at The Wharton School in 2005, and B2B Marketing Strategy at Vlerick Business School in 2000.
