Aaron Kaluszka

Aaron Kaluszka has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Aaron'smost recent position was Director of Applied Science at Lumos Labs (Lumosity) since June 2012. Prior to that, they held the role of IT Managing Editor at Nintendo World Report starting in 2005. Aaron also founded Konfiskated Teknologies in 1996. Additionally, Aaron worked as a Staff Writer at NF Magazine from 2012 to 2015. Aaron has also contributed to the academic field as a Graduate Student Researcher and Graduate Student Instructor at the University of California, Berkeley, from 2005 to 2012. In the early part of their career, they served as a Web Developer/Programmer at Citizens Telephone Cooperative from 1999 to 2006 and as an Undergraduate Researcher at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University from 2002 to 2005. Lastly, they worked as a Webmaster at Milagro Systems, Inc. from 1996 to 1998.

Aaron began their academic journey at Virginia Tech, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Biology, from 2000 to 2005. Following this, they enrolled in the University of California, Berkeley, where they pursued an M.S./Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Bioengineering (Neural Systems Analysis), and Management of Technology from 2005 to 2012. Additionally, they concurrently attended the University of California, San Francisco, where they obtained a Ph.D. in Bioengineering with a specialization in Neural Systems Analysis from 2007 to 2012.
