Sebastian Forero has a diverse work experience in the field of IT and telecommunications. Sebastian started their career as a Network Engineer at Act Telematica in 2014, where they provided technical support for incidents and problems related to telecommunications network services. Sebastian also identified and analyzed incidents and interruptions of service, recommending solutions to maintain service quality.
In 2015, Sebastian joined CenturyLink as a Monitoring Engineer II, where they provided technical assistance for network incidents and problems. Sebastian also monitored network failures and events in the MPLS network, ensuring the proper functioning of telecommunications systems and technologies.
Afterwards, Sebastian transitioned to the role of Operations Engineer II at CenturyLink, where they managed customer requests, applied change control procedures, evaluated impact and risk of network changes, and ensured operational continuity of telecommunications networks.
In 2019, Sebastian joined Act Telematica again, this time as a Network Specialist. Sebastian'sresponsibilities included designing and documenting capacity and availability plans, developing incident and change management processes, and being a technical partner in the development of a Cisco product.
In 2021, Sebastian worked as an IT Consultant at CGI, where they provided customer support for IT-related issues and requests. Sebastian performed diagnostic and troubleshooting activities for hardware, software, and network issues.
Currently, Sebastian is working at Lumu Technologies as a Customer Success Manager.

Sebastian Forero is currently pursuing a degree in Applied Cybersecurity at McGill University, starting in 2022. Prior to that, they completed a program in Network Management and Systems Security (AEC Gestion de réseaux et sécurité des systèmes) at Collège de Maisonneuve from 2020 to 2021. Before their time at Collège de Maisonneuve, Sebastian earned a degree in Electronic Engineering from Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas in 2014, specializing in Electrical, Electronic, and Communications Engineering Technology/Technician.
