Judy M. Obliosca

Judy M. Obliosca, Ph.D. has extensive experience in research and scientific roles. Judy M. is currently working as a Research Scientist/Principal Investigator at Luna Labs USA since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Luna Innovations Incorporated as a Research Scientist/Principal Investigator from 2017 to 2022, with additional experience as a Research Scientist during the same period. Judy M. also served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at The University of Texas at Austin from 2012 to 2016. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Bio-Analytical Chemistry Teaching Assistant at the Department of Engineering and System Science, National Tsing Hua University from 2010 to 2012.

Before that, they worked as a Nanoscience and Technology Exchange Student at the Department of Chemistry, National Tsing Hua University from 2004 to 2005, where they conducted research on the synthesis of greener ionic liquids and characterization of gold nanostructures. Judy M. also worked as a Research Associate II at the Marine Science Institute, University of the Philippines-Diliman from 2000 to 2004, where they assisted in the implementation of a research project focused on the development of marine environmental quality criteria for mariculture areas.

Prior to that, they earned a Ph.D. in Nanoscience and Technology from Academia Sinica Research Institute and National Tsing Hua University from 2006 to 2012. Judy M. acquired a Master's degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of the Philippines-Diliman from 2002 to 2006. Their undergraduate studies were in Chemistry at Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from 1996 to 2000. Furthermore, they graduated Valedictorian from both St. John the Baptist High School and Kabulawan Elementary School.
