Debora Thompson

Debora Thompson has extensive work experience in the biotechnology and genomics industry. Debora began their career in 2001 as a Product Manager at Greiner Bio-One. In 2007, they joined Illumina and held various roles, including Senior Market Manager and Associate Director Marketing & Business Operations. In 2014, they were promoted to Director, Strategic Business Operations (Chief of Staff) and later became the Director, Market Strategy and Innovation, Clinical Genomics. In this role, they were responsible for driving strategic planning, executing portfolio planning, and developing tools for better decision making. In 2018, Debora joined LunaPBC as the Vice President of Strategy and Business Operations, where they played a key role in the development of LunaDNA, a community-owned health and DNA data platform.

Debora Thompson received their Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Microbiology from the University of Florida, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. Following their undergraduate studies, Debora pursued a Master of Science degree in Molecular Biology at the University of Central Florida from 1996 to 1998.
