There is one Full-Time contract Junior Financial Analyst position available starting on June 03, 2024, and ending on September 26, 2025, working 37.5 hours per week.

Your Role:

This position is the key financial support person for Mental Health Services, Luther Village on the Park, or Employment Services.

Tasks:

  1. Prepare monthly financial reporting package for their respective area of responsibility including, but not limited to, preparation of operating statements, posting of required adjusting journal entries and analyzing variances month to month and actual to plan.

  2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports to Program funders, government bodies, and the Boards as required supported by appropriate documentation and audit trail.

  3. Prepare account reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis supported by appropriate documentation and audit trial.

  4. Prepare, process and post journal entries to the General Ledger, including journal entries to adjust reconciling items and recurring monthly journal entries.

  5. Ensure subsidiary ledgers are posted to the General Ledger on a daily basis.

  6. Assists in the development of the detailed Annual Service Plan and periodic forecasts.

  7. Assists in the preparation of timely, accurate and useful operating/management and financial data for the Program Director for designated time frames (i.e. weekly, monthly) as well as ad hoc reports as requested by management from time to time.

  8. Prepare year-end working papers for external auditors.

  9. Other duties as assigned.

Your Talents and Experience:

Graduation in a recognized accounting program at the post-secondary education level and enrollment in the CGA/CMA.  Proficiency in computerized accounting software and Microsoft Office products.  Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated attention to detail.  Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to deal with a diverse range of people.  Proven ability to achieve high levels of customer service.

When determining the rate of pay for external hires, a candidate’s past related experience will be taken into consideration along with where others with similar experience currently fall within the band.

  • Note: most new team members will start between the starting salary and the mid-point of the range.

  • Job Band F (hourly wages): Min - $24.43, Mid - $26.45, Max - $30.12
